Product notifications

The Association of Finnish Pharmacies maintains a product database that includes information on medicinal products, prices, and reimbursement status for pharmacy use. Companies can submit information about their pharmacy-intended products and any related changes to the database free of charge.

In addition to pharmacies, our product data files are also used by, for example, pharmaceutical companies, regulatory authorities, and healthcare units. The database is updated twice a month. Change notifications must be submitted to the Association of Finnish Pharmacies by the date specified in the publication schedule. Changes take effect on either the 1st or the 15th of each month.

Notifications concerning medicinal products—such as new products, changes to product details or pricing, and product withdrawals—must be submitted using the Product Information Form. If your company has an agreement to transmit data via Pharmaca’s Vnr online service, the changes will be forwarded to the Association of Finnish Pharmacies in accordance with that agreement.

Notifications regarding general merchandise (non-medicinal) can be submitted using the Product Information Form or, for example, via Excel by email to taksa@apteekkariliitto.fi. Medifon will submit product information to the Association of Finnish Pharmacies on behalf of companies.
